Zwischen 1904 und 1908 t\u00f6teten deutsche Kolonialtruppen im heutigen Namibia bis zu 100.000 Menschen \u2013 ein Verbrechen, das Historiker*innen als den ersten Genozid des 20. Jahrhunderts bezeichnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00dcber ein Jahrhundert sp\u00e4ter will Deutschland diesen Genozid offiziell anerkennen und mit der sogenannten \u201eJoint Declaration\u201c eine Entschuldigung aussprechen. Doch das Abkommen st\u00f6\u00dft auf Widerstand innerhalb der betroffenen Communities. Insbesondere die Nachkommen der Ovaherero- und Nama-, sowie der San- und Damara-Communities, die die Gr\u00e4ueltaten direkt trafen, f\u00fchlen sich ausgeschlossen. In den Verhandlungen zwischen den beiden Regierungen bleiben ihre Stimmen ungeh\u00f6rt. Sie verlangen Gerechtigkeit und Mitbestimmung \u00fcber ihre eigene Geschichte. Der Film l\u00e4sst alle zu Wort kommen, um das zu erreichen, was bisher scheiterte \u2013 eine Auss\u00f6hnung, die alle Beteiligten einbindet und die Frage nach einer gemeinsamen Zukunft stellt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preview im Filmhaus.
